Denzil brings close to ten years of experience as a health care executive, most recently as chief operating officer and ethics and compliance Officer at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. In his time with Metropolitan Methodist, Denzil was responsible for the day to day operations, budget and patient care in clinical and ancillary areas of a 330 bed hospital with 1,300 employees. Prior to coming to Lovelace, Denzil served at several health care facilities, including Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS and Truman Medical Center, Inc., in Kansas City, MO.
Denzil earned a bachelor of science in computer science with an emphasis in system analysis from Park University in Parkville, MO. He then earned a master in business administration/master in healthcare administration from Park University. Denzil is Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified and is a member of the America College of Healthcare Executives.
